Awesome backpack - bought a second one
Love this backpack. We ordered one for my husband in September and hes crazy about it. Hes a big guy and he isnt bothered by the label "Womens Backpack". It fits his back nicely. He just wanted a backpack with a removable day pack. Didnt necessarily want a rolling backpack. But we took it to Spain and he used the rolling feature almost the whole time. The handle is cool - it swivels in any direction and is comfortable to hold. I was pulling around a basic airline carry-on sized suitcase and once when I pulled my husbands backpack instead it was like pulling around a feather in comparison. Also its really roomy enough for our 2 week trip. Were going to Australia over Christmas for 3 weeks so we ordered a second backpack for me. I have no complaints about it at all. :2010-09-15 05:53:47

I purchased the Victorinox Trek to replace an older version. I have had a wonderful time with the last one but it needs a spa day for recuperation - broken top cushioned pull handle (not the retractable handle) and broken zippers. I started to look around to see what else there is just in case my old one is not repairable but I still ended with this purchase since I liked my old one and maybe the style might discontinue (it always does on the things I like). So this review is actually for the Trek backpack and not the current purchase.
I am a petite female. I chose the 24" version. It has taken me to Cambodia Tibet China Maui Egypt and Jordan in the last few years. The last trip finally damaged the Trek. However for the years of great service there are no complaints.
I normally I use the small pack attached for short local treks since it is small and does not have a water bottle pocket. I love the versatility of the wheeled pack. The size is perfect for my travels. I norm :2010-09-15 05:53:47
Love it but its too big!
I highly recommend this for traveling. It was great at the airport for taking the two bags apart and the wheels roll so smooth even over bumpy ground. Its like my new toy. My only two problems are 1. its too big. I could have shopped around for the 22" but still the base where the shoes go has a huge round almost oval solid piece so it sticks out. I dont know if it looks silly but perhaps I could have gotten the 22" if I had shopped around but I still would have to pay $50 more for the smaller one from what I have found recently online and this bag is selling out. and 2. The only other problem I have is that the handle is sharp and hook shaped and made about 4 or 5 black raised bruises on my thigh just on one trip. So be careful about just letting this rest up against your leg roughly it will leave a mark if the bag is heavy enough. :2010-09-15 05:53:47
